World Round-up

Kawonu Golf Club 11th hole

Construction begins in early 2025 on a new private, golf-only club on a 290-acre site 25 minutes southeast of Greenville, with an 18-hole course built from the ground up by Andrew Green. With five sets of tees ranging from 5,005 to 7,325 yards, Green’s par-72 design aims to capture Golden Age golf course architectural elements and will incorporate multiple strategic water features. The routing will allow for members to play shorter loops within the championship layout for alternate formats, special events, and casual play. Anticipated to open in early 2027, Kawonu will also include an intimate clubhouse, state-of-the-art training facility and practice areas, overnight accommodations, and restaurant.
