Founder Member Milestone

SCOTT FERRELL

Happy Holidays from the Kawonu team! Wishing you and your families a joyous season.

I am pleased to announce a significant milestone! We have closed our Founder membership category months ahead of our projected schedule. Kawonu Golf Club is fortunate to have a varied group of visionaries and leaders who are wonderful representatives of our mission. They will not only help lay a foundation for our club culture, but their credibility and reputations will also position Kawonu and its membership as world-class. While largely from the Upstate, we also have Founder Members from Chicago, Birmingham, and Florida.

The Founding Partners are extremely proud to be associated with this esteemed group and thank them for their significant and early commitment to Kawonu!

Young country club members expect more from their fees than access to a golf course. Scott Ferrell is an industry veteran who is helping lead the creation of Kawonu Golf Club outside Greenville, South Carolina. While they will feature golf only, Ferrell says the pressure to provide top-notch facilities away from the course is real and imminent. Aside from golf simulators that can be used as teaching bays — a must-have in the market these days — the amenity Ferrell is focused on is food and beverage, as, he says, "historically private clubs have had mediocre dining outlets.” Because Kawonu will have a mix of local and national members traveling from afar, Ferrell says they will make dining a primary focus of the experience.
