Construction begins on Kawonu Golf Club in southern Greenville County

Site work has started for a private, championship golf course in southern Greenville County. Kawonu Golf Club will span 290 acres west of Fountain Inn near the intersection of Fork Shoals Road and state Highway 418.

The 18-hole golf course will include a clubhouse, overnight accommodations and dining options. Approximately one-third of the property will remain a nature preserve.
